Synopsis
The object of the program is to provide minority undergraduate students, graduate students, and students in health progessional schools exposure to opportunities in research careers in areas relevant to cardivasuclar, pulmonary, and hematologic diseases and sleep disorders. Research Fellows are placed in laboratories at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center with the investigator serving as mentor, role model, and advisor. The Research Fellows attend and give seminars, and are paid an hourly wage for the time that they work in laboratories. This program is sponsored by the Scientific Council of hte Medical Center and various federal grants. Guidelines
No preference is given to Massachusetts residents.
