Synopsis
Students are encouraged to apply to Western Michigan University's National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program. Participants in the 10 week summer program will gain first-hand research experience by working with a mentor in the area of environmental signal transduction. Additionally, the participants will engage in a series of presentations and discussions on career choices, the process of science and scientific ethics and integrity. Applicants should be citizens or permanent U.S. residents of sophomore or junior standing with at least 20 hours of science credits and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
