- From I-40 (from Raleigh (including RDU International Airport) and points
east):
- take exit 273-B (Hwy 54) for Chapel Hill
- continue straight for 4 miles to top of hill (54 becomes South Road)
- turn right on Columbia. continue one block.
- turn right on Cameron. the Old Well is on the left
- From I-85 (from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and points south)
- take I-40 E towards Raleigh
- take exit 273 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp, then as above.
- From I-85 North (from Durham and points north)
- Follow I-85 to intersection with Hwy 15-501 South
- Follow 15-501 South towards Chapel Hill.
- When the highway devides, take the right fork, i.e. remain on 15-501 South (Bypass), bearing towards Chapel Hill.
- Take the Franklin Street exit (business/downtown) when the highway divides (i.e. Fordham Blvd bears left, Franklin St carries on straight)
- Take Franklin Street to the top of the hill.
- Turn right on Raleigh Road, before the Planetarium
- Turn left on Cameron. Carry on a few hundred yards. The Old Well is on the right.
These directions will direct you to the Old Well, a useful landmark located at the center of campus.
