    • A note from coordinator Grayson Holmes in re: accomodations in the area:
That brings me to the hotel situation, which unfortunately is not optimum. The only hotel within walking distance of campus is the Carolina Inn, which you could book potentially, though the only vacancies appear to be for single rooms (i.e. 1 double bed) that go for anywhere from $71 to $237 a night. After that, there are a bunch of hotels about 2-3 miles from campus, located either on NC-54 or US 15-501, the two main roads into Chapel Hill. In order of distance from campus (though they are all right together more or less), these are the Best Western University Inn, Days Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, and Red Roof Inn. These all vary in price, but run between $60 and $90 a night. The best bets here seem to be the Days Inn and Hampton Inn, though they all are good. For those who want a suites-style hotel, the closest one is the Homewood Suites (just past the Red Roof Inn, next to I-40). Rooms there run from $85 to 140. A cheaper alternative might be to get a hotel somewhere along the I-40 corridor. All sorts of hotels can be found there, often for even cheaper prices. More detail on this eventually, but if you have questions about any particular hotel or want further recommendations, feel free to email.
