The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Fellowship provides half tution and $20,000 maintenance for two years. Candidates must be either holders of green cards, naturalized citizens, or children of naturalized citizen parents.

Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be either holders of green cards, naturalized citizens, or children of naturalized citizen parents.
  2. Applicants may not be older than 30 as of November 1, 2007.
  3. Applicants must be seniors or a holder of a bachelor's degree or at present enrolled in a graduate program. Individuals who are in the third, or subsequent, year of graduate study are not eligible.

All application materials and instructions are available from the Soros Fellowship Website.. The Office of Distinguished Scholarships suggests applicants provide this letter, or a version of it, to all those whom you ask to write recommendations
