Final letter from the campaign chair
Dear Colleagues:
This message is to thank all University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill employees who contributed to the 2007 State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC). Because of you, the SECC campaign was a success. The sum of all UNC at Chapel Hill SECC contributions came to $781,096. There is no way this university-wide total could have been reached without your kindness and generosity.
It was a pleasure to serve as chair of the 2007 State Employees Combined Campaign on behalf of Carolina. Through this experience I have been exposed—in a new way—to just how much colleagues here at Carolina are both committed and passionate about helping others. Through your participation in the 2007 SECC campaign over 1,000 North Carolina charities will be supported in their efforts to help those who are less fortunate.
I would be remiss if I did not also take time to thank all of my colleagues who so graciously volunteered to serve as SECC Division Leaders and Team Captains. Your leadership at the school, division, and departmental levels helped to ensure the success of the campaign. Thank you!
The theme of the 2007 SECC campaign was "Carolina Cares—Giving for a Brighter Tomorrow!" It is evident that we all came together, spurring the SECC theme into action, to show that "Carolina Cares" and we all understand the value of "Giving for a Brighter Tomorrow!"
Sincerely,
José-Marie Griffiths
2007 SECC Chair, UNC at Chapel Hill
