About the SECC

Carolina Cares: Giving for a Brighter Tomorrow is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s 2007 State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC).

The SECC is the only charitable giving program authorized for the state employee workplace. The purpose of the SECC is to allow state employees the opportunity to contribute to charitable organizations in an orderly and uniform process.

You can participate in this year’s campaign by learning more about participating charitable organizations, learning how to give or attending a campaign event.

Levels of support

Gift levels

A "Leadership Gift" is a gift of $150 or more. The categories of Leadership giving are:

• Dogwood: $150–$399
• Cardinal: $400–$649
• Emerald: $650–$999
• Diamond: $1,000–$2,499
• Chairman's Society: $2,500 and up

Partners in Giving

Local businesses can lend their support to the SECC by donating gift certificates, goods or services to be used as campaign incentives.
