Introducing Sakai. Sakai is a collaboration and learning environment (CLE) used by millions of users at hundreds of colleges, universities, and schools to enhance collaborative teaching, learning and research.

As many of you are aware, the University is transitioning from Blackboard to Sakai as the sole learning management system for our campus. This transition will take place over the next few semesters. Please see the campus migration timeline.

If you have questions or prefer to schedule a 1-hour personal consultation to help with your transition to Sakai, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In the meantime; if you would prefer to learn on your own, are not ready to schedule a consultation, or simply would like to learn more about Sakai and its many features, we encourage you to take advantage of the Sakai resources located on our website, which will continually be updated with additional information. You can also find helpful resources for getting started with Sakai on the UNC-CH Sakai Blog.

We will keep you apprised of campus Sakai workshops and demonstrations as they become available via our SOE Instructional Technology newsletter and on our highlights and events pages.
