Founded in the fall of 2001, SpaceTalk is the first student organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill devoted to the subject of space exploration. In the past, Carolina has been closely linked to the nation's space exploration program. The Morehead Planetarium was once used to train Apollo astronauts in celestial navigation. At present, however, few opportunities exist at this institution for students passionate about the cosmos. SpaceTalk is a student initiative that will offer the Carolina community a glimpse at the exciting possibilities that await a space-faring civilization. With SpaceTalk, the sky is truly not the limit.
