Over the weekend, Carolina became the first school to win the men's and women's lacrosse NCAA championships in the same year since Princeton in 1994.

Carolina over the weekend became the first school to win the men’s and women’s lacrosse NCAA championships in the same year since Princeton in 1994. The Tar Heel men beat Maryland in overtime on Monday, 14-13, at Lincoln Financial Field — just one day after the UNC-Chapel Hill women’s team beat Maryland, 13-7, in Sunday’s national title game in Chester, Pennsylvania.
