ACC champs times 3 for Carolina

The Carolina women’s and men’s lacrosse teams and the women’s tennis team have won conference titles.

Three North Carolina teams became Atlantic Coast Conference champions over the weekend.

Both the women’s and men’s lacrosse teams and the women’s tennis team won ACC titles on Sunday.

The women’s lacrosse team beat Syracuse 18-11, giving the team its second consecutive ACC title and third title overall. Molly Hendrick was named the most valuable player.

The men’s lacrosse team beat Notre Dame 14-10. Chris Cloutier was named the most valuable player. The win gave the Tar Heels its 13th ACC men’s lacrosse championship.

The women’s tennis team beat Georgia Tech to win its eighth ACC women’s tennis championship in program history and third under the leadership of head coach Brian Kalbas. Hayley Carter was named the championship’s most valuable player.
