Day in the Life: Resident Advisor Deanna Zhong

Spend a day in the life with a Carolina senior whose "live-in" job as a resident advisor is to be a constant resource available to students.

Senior Deanna Zhong works a “live-in” job. As a resident advisor for the past two years under the Department of Housing and Residential Education, her primary job responsibility is to be a 24/7 resource available to residents. Zhong juggles a psychology and economics double major in the College of Arts and Sciences with ensuring student safety, remedying flooded basements and enforcing quiet hours in residence halls — all tasks she takes in stride.

Zhong is just one Carolina student doing incredible things. Learn more about her position as the front face of her residential community.
