Defeating finals stress with fur and sprinkles

With finals season underway, Carolina students took breaks from the stress to visit with therapy animals, build gingerbread houses and grab a bite with Chancellor Folt.

When the stress from final exams gets to be too much, Carolina students are finding some furry ways to decompress. Campus Health Services and UNC Libraries arranged for therapy dogs, cats and ponies, at different times, naturally, to come to campus over the past week to help students relax during a typically demanding time of year.

There are other stress relief activities, too, happening, too. Chancellor Carol L. Folt hosted a pizza study break outside the Carolina Union on Monday and the Union hosted a gingerbread house building event last week. More activities are planned through Friday, the last day of final exams and the fall semester.
