Since 2003, the Carolina senior class has been invited to climb the 128 steps above campus and then sign their names on the inside walls of the Bell Tower.

The senior Bell Tower Climb is an annual spring tradition, thanks to the General Alumni Association at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The UNC-Chapel Hill Class of 2017 participated in the tradition on April 21. Chancellor Carol L. Folt attended the event as well, greeting students, handing out cookies and taking photographs with the seniors.
