Deepak Raj Dugar joins the UNC Bhangra team when he needs a respite from the operating room and patient care.
Resident relaxes, restores through UNC Bhangra
Deepak Raj Dugar doesn’t have much free time. When the ENT-Head and Neck Surgery Resident does find a moment, he relaxes and restores himself through an ancient and evolving dance called Bhangra.
Dr. Dugar works hard in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at UNC Hospitals. He’s in the operating room and caring for patients much of each week.
Dugar says that he loves what he does and feels blessed. But, he recognizes the need to get away from work, and Bhangra transports him. “We all need something to make yourself happy and that frees you from all the stresses of work,” says Dugar. “Bhangra offers that.”
UNC’s well-known Bhangra team provides an outlet for Dugar. Watch the video to learn about how he supports the team and how Bhangra helps him.
