Carolina researchers George Pink and Mark Holmes are working to find solutions that can keep rural hospitals open.
As hospitals in rural communities around the country continue to close due to financial problems, thousands of people are being left without the medical care they need.
With both medical and economic consequences surrounding the closures, the UNC Sheps Center for Health Services Research’s North Carolina Rural Health Research Center is working to keep rural hospitals open and help those communities thrive.
