On April 20, 1974, the legacy and traditions of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated were continued when 14 phenomenal women brought this illustrious organization to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, forming the Theta Pi Chapter Our charter members:
