The Alpha Chapter

Alpha Pi Omega Sorority Inc.



We were founded on September 1, 1994.

We are the first historically Native American Sorority in the world.


MISSION

The mission of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc. is to create a strong sisterhood that will serve as a support for college women in today's society. The sisterhood shall support its members in their journeys towards a balanced life. The Alpha Pi Omega woman will always strive for scholarship, honesty, leadership, service, and personal integrity. The sorority will work to preserve our Native American heritage, for through celebration and practice of our cultural and spiritual heritage, we become one with each other.





Undergraduate Chapters 

Alpha-at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, established September 1, 1994

Beta-at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, established November 27, 1996.

Gamma- at Oklahoma State Univeristy, established May 29, 2004


Graduate Chapters

Alpha Pi- Orange County, NC - established September 1, 1994

Beta Pi-in the Pembroke, NC area, chartered in the fall of 1996.

Gamma Pi- Columbus County, NC- established May 29, 2004


Provisional Chapters
University of Arizona- Tuscon, Arizona

University of New Mexico- Albuquerque, NM

Payne County Graduate Chapter- Payne County, Oklahoma

Dayne County Graduate Chapter- Dayne County, Wisconsin

Pledge Processes have also been conducted at:
