Rachel Teneil Blue (AIR CLAN)
Rachel was born on December 14, 1980 to two loving Lumbee parents in Pembroke, NC.  She is the baby of the family, having two older siblings,  Johannah and Jonathan.  She grew up in a Christian family and wants to go to Optometry School when she graduates in May 2003.
 
Shannon Eileen Duke (EARTH CLAN)
Shannon was born in Chicago, Ill. on November 26, 1979.  Her grandmother gave her the name Little Star, which she always thought was cool.  She has two sisters, Katie Ann (born August 7, 1982) and Rebecca Elizabeth (born July 7, 1986).  She prides herself in being an animal lover and has a zoo at her parents' house.  She is Oglala Lakota.
 
Veronica Leigh Graham (FIRE CLAN)
Veronica was born on November 22, 1980.  She has an older sister who is also a sister to the sorority named Tiffany Gayle.  She is a traditional dancer at Pow Wows.  Veronica is Waccamaw Siouan and is from the community of St. James.
 
Tonia Rosana Jacobs (FIRE CLAN)
Tonia was born on May 9, 1981 to a Waccamaw Siouan family in St. James.  She has a sister named Charlyne, to whom she is VERY close.  Tonia is a singer in a small drum group called "Falling Star".  She is also a jingle dancer at Pow Wows.  She prides herself in being very determined and self-motivated.
 
Brandy Marie Strickland (WATER CLAN)
Brandy was born on March 29, 1979 to a Lumbee mother and has an older sister named Nicole Michelle.  She will be graduating in May 2001 with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Business.
 
Tawnda Angelique Thompson (WATER CLAN)
Tawnda was born on July 29, 1980 to a Lumbee mother and grew up in Jacksonville, NC.  She enjoyed cheerleading in HS and her many trips to see family in Pembroke, NC.  Her house is 15 minutes from the beach and enjoys going there often.
