We are happy to announce that the FACSS Karaoke competition will be flaming on the night of 09/29.  
Do you think you can sing? Then come and join us!!!

Time: 09/29/07, Saturday (7:30pm)
Location: Student Union, Multipurpose room (room 1501. Go through the door on the 
	  opposite of Fretzer Gym, where there's also a UNC printing office beside)
Reward: 1st: $100 value; 
        2nd: $75 value;
        3rd (2 of them): $50 value

 
All the competitors will get a gift from FACSS as well. Friends and family supporters 
are all welcomed. There will be a lucky supporter lottery within the winning group. 
 
Highlights: This is the first time that we offer such value of reward, and greater 
news is the top four singers will represent UNC Chinese community to compete in 
Tri-School Final (UNC-Duke-NCSU) in November.  It's also the first time that CSSA 
from three schools try to put up this kind of event together, competitors in the final
will have the chance to win the grand prize (estimated value of $400 or more).
 
Come and join the game! Please reply this email or directly to: uncfacss@gmail.com with 
your name, department, contact methods. Most importantly, your pick of the songs. Each 
singer will sing two songs, if the game ties, we will have another round of PK as well. 
Solo or small group band(less than 3) are both OK. 
 
As for the selection of songs, we will have to do the "first come, first serve". Say if
two competitors select a same song as the first pick, whoever registers first will have 
the priority. Each competitor please pick up 3 songs in order, in case your first choice
is not available. 
 
We have some collection of Karaoke dvds, and later the selections of songs will be put 
online for your reference. If you choose those newest songs or some less popular songs,
we recommend you to bring the karaoke media. You can either use dvd/vcd or directly 
download from the web.

一年一度的中秋节和国庆就要来了，FACSS卡拉OK大赛也即将拉开帷幕。


今年大赛将于9月29日晚7点半在Student Union 1501室举行，奖品丰厚，设备专业，欢迎大家
踊跃报名！

本次大赛奖品设置：一等奖，价值100美元；二等奖，价值75美元；三等奖（两名）：价值50美
元。其余参赛选手都将获得FACSS提供的. 礼品。我们欢迎参赛选手的亲友团和支持者一同参与
活动。最终获奖方阵的支持者中也将抽出一位幸运观众，获得FACSS提供的礼品
 
大赛的前四名歌手将代表UNC中国学生学者参加UNC-Duke-NCSU三校卡拉OK总决选，并有希望赢
得由三校学生会共同提供的大奖。

参赛曲目

每位选手将演唱两首歌曲，如果出现平局，我们将有额外附加赛。演唱方式可以是独唱，对唱或者小
型band（不超过三人）。歌曲选择将采取先报先得制，每位报名者请提供三首备选曲目；如果两位报
名者选择的第一曲目相同，将由先报名者获得演唱权，后来的那一位则演唱自己的第二和第三选择。
 
我们手中部分卡拉OK伴唱带的曲目表将于近期发布，由于资源有限，如果参赛选手选了近期新歌或较
冷门歌曲，我们推荐自带伴唱带。可以是卡拉OK dvd/vcd，也可以网上下载MTV伴唱 （mp3/mp4/rmvb
等格式）。
