Update on May 1, 2008
As another school year comes to a close, another round of elections has passed. There have been a lot of officer changes - too many to list here. As always, the updated offices can be found on the Brotherhood and Contact pages. Congratulations to everyone! As for me, while I am stepping down from my active post as Webmaster, I shall continue to serve as a "Webmaestro" of sorts for our new Webmaster, Nathan Bartlett. I hope everyone will give the two of us your full support as we continue to maintain all things electronic and virtual for Psi.

Mu Chapter is proud to announce that we have just received two incredible new Brothers from the Alpha Zeta pledge class. We'd like to welcome Kenari Marks and Gianni Washington to Mu Beta Psi with a big congratulations. Welcome aboard, you two!

Mu Beta Psi's Annual Convention is over. We'd like to thank everyone who was able to make the trip over to Alpha Chapter to represent Mu. On a related note, the national website has undergone some serious updates, so everyone should try to go take a look at them.

Update on December 12, 2007
This update is brought to you by the election of four new officers. As of tonight, Kate Capehart is the President of M u Chapter, Kat Hurwitz is our Vice President, Erica St. Lawrence is Pledgemaster, and Logan Brackett is Assistant Pledgemaster. Congratulations to all four of them! With these new office changes, the Brotherhood section has been updated accordingly. Other than that, Happy Holidays, everyone!

As of this weekend, Mu Chapter has welcomed its two newest Brothers to our numbers with the Alpha Epsilon pledge class! We'd like to extend our warmest congratulations to Nathan Bartlett and Logan Brackett, who did a fantastic job this past pledge season. Great to have you two here! ^_^

After combatting countless hurdles with the UNC server, the Mu Chapter Brotherhood page has been updated to show recent changes in the Active Brotherhood. Also, pinning pictures from the Alpha Delta pledge class are finally up. Enjoy this latest selection of Mu's Caught on Camera!

The Fall 2007 pledge season has officially commenced! After a lovely pinning ceremony, we've got three super pledges! Everyone, welcome the Alpha Epsilon pledge class! Aside from that, the other main update around here is that some things have been uploaded to the For Us section. Enjoy, Brothers. ^_^

Without further adieu, I hereby present the Fall 2007 Rush week schedule! These events are also able to be viewed ( with more details, to boot) from the Pledging page and from the Facebook event that was set up.
These events are purely to get to know the Brothers and to have some fun. There's no commitment to pledge.
Monday, September 3: Dinner at Franklin St. Pizza & Pasta, 7 pm
Tuesday, September 4: Vanquish the Vermonster at Ben & Jerry's, 8 pm
Wednesday, September 5: Watch the DCI Championships, Meet at the Old Well at 8 pm.
Thursday, September 6: NOTHING!
Friday, September 7: Regression Night, 8 pm in Hill 202.
Saturday, September 8: MORE NOTHING!
Sunday, September 9: Cocktail - one last chance to get to know the Brothers and decide if Psi is right for you. Formal dress, Union Room 2510, 8 pm.

The new school year is finally here, and after bouncing back from the sad news from early June and making a presence at Band Camp and Fall Fest, Mu Beta Psi is just about to kick of its Fall 2007 rush week! Be sure to check back in the next couple of days to see the finalized list of rush events!
Update on June 6, 2007
This short update is to let everyone know of something that is being planned, something that has been in the works for three days now. Sometime this fall, I will put a memorial page for Madi up on the site. This project is something that I want to be really special, so of course it will take a while to be put together. To the Brothers, I will let you know when and where I could use your input. This is something I want to do for Madi and it's something that is not going to be rushed. I think that in the end, it will be a fitting gift for her. In the meantime, I am going to leave her profile up in the list of Active Brothers, because had this tragedy not occurred, we know that that's where she would be listed. Stay strong, everyone.

Danielle's funeral is set to be held on June 6, 2007. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, Danielle's hometown, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of repeating what has already been said, this update includes two links, one to Danielle's obituary from the Charlotte Observer, and one to the special memorial page made for her on the UNC Bands website. Mu Chapter would like to thank everyone, Brothers and friends alike, for all of the support that you have given us during this difficult time. Your prayers and wishes have been truly helpful as we have had to say an untimely good-bye.

Brothers, it is with a heavy heart that I add this sad news as Mu Chapter's first true update of the summer. Yesterday, on June 2, 2007, one of our newest Brothers, Danielle Elizabeth Liotta was killed in an automobile accident. She was 19. Information of her death reached the Brothers currently in the Marching Tar Heels where it was then quickly sent out to the Mu Beta Psi community. Danielle, also known as "Madi" to her friends and "Life Saver" to her Brothers had just pledged in our Alpha Delta class this spring. More information concerning her accident and funeral arrangements will be posted as it becomes available. Madi, you will be deeply missed...

Another May, another end of the school year. As we bid farewell to our graduating Brothers we welcome our newest Brothers and welcome back a couple of special inactives. This is just a quick update to kick off summer and remind any visitors to be sure to check the site in the fall, because that's when we'll be ready with all of the information for our new pledge season.

As of very early this morning, the Alpha Delta pledge class has joined our ranks. Mu Chapter would like to extend a hearty welcome and congratulations to Danielle "Madi" Liotta and Erica St. Lawrence! These two pledges did an incredible job in the latter half of the spring semester, so welcome aboard you two! ^_^

Another round of elections has come to a close, and we've got some shiny new officers! As the Webmaster re-elect, I'd like to congratulate everyone on their offices, be they new or old. As soon as the server is fixed, the Brotherhood page will be changed to reflect the election results...

Another short update as the Webmaster is pulled along for NCAA travel band with the men's basketball team...the second pledge season of Spring 2007 is officially underway and we've got two fantastic pledges! While they've just begun pledging, remember that we will have our next pledge season in the fall. As always, if you missed your chance this spring, don't fret. And as the Webmaster arrives in Tampa for her travel band trip for the men's basketball ACC Tournament, Mu Chapter welcomes its two newest Brothers! A huge congratulations to Kate Capehart and Sara Gallagher of the Alpha Gamma - Accidentally Gifted pledge class! The two of them did a great job to have finished everything up this early in the semester. And with that being announced, this update has to be a quick one. My schedule is quite busy this weekend, but such is the fate of travel band. (It's worth it though!) There will be more updates once everyone returns from Spring Break. Welcome to the Madness of March!

Rush Week is under way! We're glad to see some of you showing up at the events! To help make getting the information about the events even easier, the links to the Facebook invites for the events have been added to the Pledging page. Facebook might be a silly device, but let's face it...it can be useful for contacting people. Here's to a good rest of the Rush Week!
The Brotherhood page has been updated so that it now has the profile information for our Honorary Brothers and Faculty Advisors, so that is pretty exciting news. Their individual profile pages are currently under construction. The update to the page also reflects the recent moving around of inactives. Finally, the Photos page has been updated with a new gallery in the Brothers Having Fun section. Be sure to check it out, as these pictures show off an amusingly snazzy side of our Brothers.Update on March 1, 2007

The FTP server is working again, so now the site is recognizing previous updates. The coding on the Brotherhood page has been edited again, Pledging information has been updated, and new photos have been added for the Alpha Gamma pledge class. Go take a look at them!

The Alpha Gamma Pledge Season is now OFFICIALLY under way! We've got two great pledges, but if you're not one of them, not to worry. There will be another chance for you to pledge Psi next fall and even later this spring. Check under the Pledging page for details...coming soon to a site near you.
Also, PsiJam is tomorrow night at 7:30 pm in Hill Hall Auditorium. Come on out to see some great a cappella music and give some help to a great cause! If you have any questions about it, simply check out our Contact page and e-mail us from there.Update on November 18, 2006

Brotherhood and Contact information has been updated to reflect some recent changes. But, there's even bigger and better news than that. This week, Mu Beta Psi is going to be having the first of at least two Pre-Rush events this fall. The first event is scheduled to be on October 28th, at around 7:00 pm at Hanes Art Center. Come on by for pizza and movies, as it's guarranteed to be a fun time! Check out the Pledging page for more information!

Ah-ha, there's the update! Greetings all, I'm Mary, the new Mu Webmaster. This update is a bit delayed due to various access factors, but now that those have been resolved, expect this to be the first of many updates this fall. Since the last official update, the last few elections were held, some Brothers have changed status (for the full officer/active list, check the Brotherhood page), Fall Rush was had, and the Fall 2006 pledge season was kicked off. It's looking to be a great semester for all things Mu, so remember to check the site for updates. ^_^

It's that time of year again - we've held a portion of our elections and now have new officers! Hooray! As usual, contact info has been updated, and check out the Brotherhood page to see the changes. We will have elections for the rest of the offices very soon.

Huge congratulations go to Meaghan Martin and Stephen Smith, our two new Brothers! They worked hard and we are proud to have them in our ranks. :-) They have been added to the Brotherhood page, and soon we hope to have their bios as well so you can read all about them. ;)

A couple of quick updates: first, congratulations to our recently-returned Brother and now newly-elected treasurer, Anna! Second, almost all of the Brothers now have pictures for their respective bios. Good progress. :-)
Also, I wiped some of the old news, so this page isn't quite so long now. Apologies if there was anyone who'd really wanted to read any of that. ;-)

Whoops! I was so eager to update the site that I forgot to write about it in the news. Changes were actually made two days ago: Rush Week details, updated Brother list, and slightly updated information. I strongly encourage you to look at the Pledging page if you're at all interested in pledging Mu Beta Psi, or if you'd just like to come out and hang with us for a while. It's fun, I promise. ;-)

We have new officers! Sean Galgano, Kat Hurwitz, and Joshua Moffitt are now Pledgemaster, Assistant Pledgemaster, and Head MAC, respectively. Hooray for them!

First of all, a big congratulations and welcome to our two newest Brothers, Linda Gomaa and Kat Hurwitz! They are now listed on the Brotherhood page along with the rest of the Brothers.
Speaking of the Brotherhood page, there has been a big change - now each Brother has a bio page for himself or herself, which you can access by clicking on their name! This has been in the works for a while, and it's finally become a reality. So feel free to find out more about the individual Brothers if you'd like. :-)

The semester is once again back in full swing, and we now have Rush information! Check the pledging page for everything you need to know about info sessions and Rush Week.
The Brotherhood page is now also up-to-date with the currently active Brothers. We're sad that we lost a few to graduation and other things, but hey, that's the way it goes. We hope to be able to welcome new Brothers into our ranks by the end of the semester. :-)

The semester is now over for us. We recently held elections, and we now have a number of new officers. Congratulations to them! The Brotherhood and Contact pages have been updated accordingly.
Since we have new Pledgemasters, plans are underway for rush events in the fall. Keep a lookout for more information as it becomes available, and if you're at all interested in rushing Mu Beta Psi, we hope that you'll get in touch with us. :-)

A couple of changes have taken place around here. First, Sean Galgano is now MAL, rather than MAL-Elect, as the old MAL's term has expired. Second, we have a new Historian - congratulations to Michael Hill!

Lots of things have happened lately here at Mu chapter. For starters, we have two new officers - Sean Galgano is the MAL-Elect, and Erin Husson is the Assistant Pledgemaster. Congratulations to Sean, and myself. ;-)
A congratulations also to our new Omega pledge class. We have two solid pledges, and even though it's still early in the season, the outlook is very positive right now. We'll see what happens!
