"So You Think You Can Dance: Carolina Edition", November 5, 2009, Great Hall, 7:00pm--9:00pm
Come out watch campus dance groups, such as Kamikazi, Misconceptions, Bhangra Elite, Que Rico, Opeyo Modern, and Ek Taal, battle it out for a cash prize based on the audience vote for the cash prize winner! There will be many opportunities for audience participation with a raffle opportunity, as well as a Showtime at the Apollo segment where audience members will have an opportunity to show off their moves for a small prize. We would love to see you there!

"Bridging Gaps:  A Look at Abrahamic Religions", September 22, 2009, Bingham 317, 7:00pm--8:30pm

Come join the women of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural
Sorority, Inc. as we take a look at Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Representatives from Alpha Epsilon Omega Christian Sorority Inc., Muslim Student Association, and NC Hillel will be there to answer any questions you may have about their religious beliefs. There will be a panel and an open discussion. Please join us!

"Cracks in the Justice System:  Victims of Money, Media and Misconduct"
April 22, 2009, Hitchcock Lounge of Stone Center, 6:30pm - 8:00pm
This event is hosted by the Alpha Chapter of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., the Mu Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the Alpha Iota Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc.
Crystal Mangum and Ed Clark will be speaking about the harsh realities of minority treatment both in the justice system and the media based on their own experiences.  Not only that but student leaders will also speak at the end of the event to put this case into a larger socio-political context in the state of North Carolina.
Our primary focus will be on prosecutorial misconduct, the influence of the media, race, class and gender, and how her voice was pushed aside and deemed nonsensical.
