The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Pauper Players is the premier musical theatre company on campus. Founded in 1989, Pauper Players seeks to establish a venue for Carolina students to organize and perform full-scale musical productions. Pauper Players got its name from the abundant conviction despite the limited resources with which the company's founders started. Now surpassing our 20th season, Pauper has grown to a theatrical staple producing three full-scale musicals plus a Broadway revue show annually. Still unlimited in our conviction, Pauper is dedicated to artistic growth and social betterment.
