Welcome to all of our newest members! We are delighted to have you onboard in 2009!

We are starting the spring semester with an important and exciting event that offers many opportunities for networking and scholarship! From January 25th - 28th, our chapter will host Dr. Eric Adelberger, distinguished professor of Physics at the University of Washington and former scientific associate at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva.

As a member of Phi Beta Kappa, you are invited to a FREE DINNER with Dr. Adelberger at the Carolina Inn on Monday, January 26th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. You MUST RSVP to attend this event by Friday, January 23. To RSVP please email Mrs. Wanda Wallace (allace@email.unc.edu).

After the dinner we will move to Chapman Hall room 211 for an exciting presentation by Dr. Adelberger at 8:00 pm! This event (not the dinner) is open to the public so bring all of your friends!

For PBK Physics majors there is another FREE LUNCHEON with Dr. Adelberger. Please let us know if you would like to attend! For other members, we will have many opportunities for small group or one-on-one visits with Dr. Adelberger. Email Yan (yan1@email.unc.edu) if you are interested.
