Yan Yan
Yan Yan, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is the vice president of the UNC chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. A senior studying chemistry and statistics, Yan is involved in biochemistry research at UNC's School of Medicine. Yan is also the president of Friends of Falun Gong at UNC, a club dedicated to raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Moreover, Yan enjoys volunteering and shadowing in the hospital, especially the emergency department. In the summer, Yan loves to watch historical dramas, documentaries, and sci-fi series.
