What is the High School Athletic Training Seminar?
The High School Athletic Training seminar is a workshop hosted by the undergraduate students making up the UNC-CH Student Athletic Trainer's Association, intended to help expose high school students interested in Sports Medicine to Athletic Training topics and to the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill's undergraduate program. The day is comprised of presentations complemented with hands on demonstrations and opportunities for students to practice the skills discussed and interaction with both undergraduate and graduate students from UNC-CH. In addition participants are shown around and visit multiple Carolina Athletic Training Rooms, and a closing presentation concerning the profession of Athletic Training, what careers might be pursued with an Athletic Training degree, and the undergraduate program offered at UNC-CH is given. It is a fun-filled day for everyone, with lunch included.
