2005 Club Schedule
Tar Heel Squash practices every Monday and
Wednesday evenings beginning at 7pm We begin practice with drills aimed
at improving every player's game. Following drills, the practice is
open to "round robin" style play or players may play division matches.
DIVISION
PLAY
This year, the club is attempting a series of division
play groupings in the fall which will lead to a squash ladder to be set
up in the spring.
FUNDAMENTAL
LESSONS
These are intended for beginners, but more exprienced players are
welcome
to attend. Many who have in the past have found them quite
helpful.
There will be four lessons, each given twice times at staggered times
so
all members have a reasonable chance to get to all four.
FL 1 -- the rail shot
FL 2 -- the drop shot
FL 3 -- service and service return
FL 4 -- rules of interfernce, lets & strokes
CLINICS
FOR MORE EXPERIENCED PLAYERS
There will be three such clinics. Again, look here in August for
the precise dates.
Clinic 1: making your service an offensive weapon
Clinic 2: the boast as an offensive weapon.
Clinic 3: three drills you can do by yourself that will make a
difference.
