To each one of us, at different times in our lives, God puts on the role of His various names depending on our needs. First and foremost, God meets our greatest need in being our very personal Saviour, our Lord, the One who redeems us. Once we have taken that initial step toward surrendering to the freedom He offers, we are able to see God more clearly for who He is. He wants to be our everything, to fill every need and desire we may have.
Both the Old and New Testaments provide us with hundreds of accounts of God meeting the needs, the desires, of His people. He was and is and will forever be the fullness of these names: Healer (Jeremiah 30:17), Shield (Psalm 18:30), Mighty (Deuteronomy 10:17), Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), Counselor (John 14:26), Provider (Genesis 22:14), the Beginning and the End (Revelation 1) and so many more.
In this issue of Virtuous Woman, we were moved to focus on these four names: the Great I AM, Abba (Father), the Good Shepherd and Redeemer.
In your own lives, I challenge you to take the time to go through the Bible and study specific names of God that you have an interest in or a particular need for at this time in your life. God makes Himself available for us every second of the day; all we must do is seek Him. The more we learn about the character of this great God that we serve, the more deeply we will love and understand Him.
Honor and glory be to the God who rules from everlasting to everlasting! May He more and more open us up to see the truth of who He is, and may we allow Him to be our All in All.
In Christ,
Brittany L. Jackson
Editor-in-Chief

Virtuous Woman is a publication that focuses on inspiring and encouraging women of faith to grow and become all that God has called them to be.
The magazine includes personal testimonies, poems, drawings, and words of wisdom from men and women who love the Lord. Our goal is not to condemn, but to share our experiences so that others may be blessed.
The basis for the magazine's content comes from Christian principles in the Bible as well as personal experiences that have stemmed from a relationship with Christ.
