What We Do
Our
major activity is a monthly potluck dinner. Our topics vary from
month to month and year to year, but some favorites include:
-
Observance
of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October
-
Women and
Interviewing for Legal Jobs
-
Outlining
your Law School Classes
-
Studying
for Exams
-
Time Management
-
What to
Expect from your Summer Job
Another
activity that we do every year is "Judges' Chambers." In cooperation
with North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA), we are able
to bring 8-10 women judges to Carolina Law each year to speak to a packed
house about their experiences as women in the legal profession. These
fabulous women are judges on various courts, including the NC Court of
Appeals, District Courts, and various NC Superior Courts.
