The Department of Housing and Residential Education augments the educational mission of the university with service to more than 7,000 students living in 29 residence halls and 304 apartments. The department offers approximately 350 professional and student staff and is responsible for more than 2 million square feet of space. The operating budget exceeds $18 million, coming from self-generated revenues.
