UNC Faculty-Staff Recreation Association

Nestled in a rural setting at the east edge of Chapel Hill, the UNC Faculty-Staff Recreation Association is affectionately known as “The FARM.” A short distance from downtown and campus, this recreation center for faculty, staff and alumni of UNC-Chapel Hill is set in the middle of twenty-eight acres of woods and pasture. It is a perfect place for families and singles to exercise, play, learn sports, relax, and make friends.
Since our founding in 1967, we have continued to grow and develop, most recently with the addition of a new building that houses a fitness room, a classroom, a full service tennis shop, bathrooms and showers, and administrative offices. This past year we also added a sand volleyball court and disc golf course for the added enjoyment of our members and guests.
The Farm operates as a non-profit organization and is solely supported by its dues paying membership.: Become a member today!
