Swimming

Summer at The Farm begins when the pools open in mid-May and ends when they close in late September. Our pools are very popular, but every day brings pockets of peace when hardly anyone is in the water… perfect for exercise or a nap.

Our swimming facilities consist of three pools, a bathhouse, and a table tennis area. The upper pool is ten lanes wide, with six lap lanes always available for lap swimming. There is also a diving area with one-meter and three-meter boards and a shallow end for those children who have not qualified for deep water. The “baby pool” is where the youngest Farmers frolic under the supervision of their parents. The lower pool is six lanes wide and is primarily used for swim team practice, swim lessons, and camps.

Our trained pool staff, as well as reasonable and necessary rules, ensures water safety at The Farm. Our lifeguards are CPR trained and certified to teach water safety and all Red Cross aquatic courses, from beginner through lifeguard training. Every summer, thanks to our extensive swim program, many children learn to swim at basic or competitive levels.
