Prior
to making calls, you will need to make sure that the software you use
for Internet multimedia conferencing is properly configured. You will
need to enter the following information into your endpoint's preferences
or configuration file:
- Gatekeeper
Address. To use the this public gatekeeper, please enter the following
address: 128.146.199.52
- Endpoint
Alias
- For
an account which has been requested in the directory,
enter the H.323 ID as it appears in your directory entry. Example:
sally_mander@osu.edu
- For
ad hoc dialing, enter your complete email address here.
Example: me@school.edu
- Endpoint
Extension
- For
an account which has been requested in the directory,
enter the H.323 Dialed Digits as they appear for your directory
entry. Example: 00111091234567
- For
ad hoc dialing, enter your phone number (no dashes/hyphens,
please) with '0011109' preceding it. Thus, if your phone number
is 9198437006, you would enter 00111099198437006.
In
most cases, you will need to stop and restart your h.323 endpoint for
these changes to be transmitted to the zone.
