ViDeNet Version 3

Release Schedule

A new dial plan and set of ViDeNet tools will become available on July 24, 2002. These tools bring new functionality to the ViDeNet test bed for zone administrators and users, but will also require zone administrators to migrate their zones to the new architecture. There will be a videoconference for existing zone administrators to meet with ViDeNet experts to discuss migration issues. This Brown Bag Munch is part of a new and on-going series of monthly videoconferences designed to bring ViDeNet zone administrators together for fun and learning (and a chance to win a Palm Pilot).

The new GDS dial plan will require that zone administrators obtain and configure a new prefix in their gatekeepers and review their internal dial plans to ensure that there are no address space conflicts. The existing ViDeNet Master Gatekeeper and dial plan will not be supported beyond September 25, 2002.
