The general public may take hour-long tours exploring campus life led by enthusiastic student guides with a wealth of knowledge about Carolina history, landmarks and legends. High school students, transfer students and their families should arrange tours through Undergraduate Admissions.
During the first session of summer school, from May 19 – July 10, a general campus tour, “the Carolina Classic,” is offered at 9:30 am, Monday – Friday. Please call (919) 962-1630 to schedule or fill out the form below.
We are not able to offer group tours for more than 20 people during the summer due to limited staffing.
Tours for prospective graduate students are available during the summer on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Please use the forms linked below to request a tour. We try to accommodate special requests and needs.
Tours begin at the UNC Visitors’ Center, located inside the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. The entrance is on the west side of the building, with large columns and blue welcome banners flanking the door.
We look forward to sharing Carolina with you!
Prospective undergraduate students and their families should arrange tours through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
