The general public may take hour-long tours exploring campus life led by enthusiastic student guides with a wealth of knowledge about Carolina history, landmarks and legends. High school students, transfer students and their families should arrange tours through Undergraduate Admissions.
As student staffing allows, tours are available daily. No guided tours are available when school is out of session, but visitors are welcomed to stop by the UNC Visitors’ Center for a self-guided tour brochure. Guided tours will resume the week of August 26, 2013. Please call (919) 962-1630 for times.
We offer tours for student groups from schools. Tours for prospective graduate students are available Monday through Friday at 3 p.m. Other groups may request a tour. Please use the forms linked below to request a tour. We try to accommodate special requests and needs.
Tours begin at the UNC Visitors’ Center, located inside the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. The entrance is on the west side of the building, with large columns and blue welcome banners flanking the door.
We look forward to sharing Carolina with you!
Prospective undergraduate students and their families should arrange tours through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
