Networked JAWS License: Server IP Address Change

Recently the JAWS license server IP address was unexpectedly changed - if you use the networked version of JAWS, you'll need to change the environmental variable you initially set. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Environmental Variables and add LSFORCEHOST and 152.2.200.11 or vmxpteam.its.unc.edu and you should be able to use JAWS again. ITS and DDS apologize for this inconvenience.

Networked JAWS License

UNC Chapel Hill now has a network license for the JAWS screen reader product. Anyone with a campus IP address can authenticate and use JAWS, up to ten users at a time. You'll need a copy of the software (available from Freedom Scientific) and you'll also need to make a minor tweak to your system, setting an environmental variable. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Environmental Variables and add LSFORCEHOST and 152.2.203.128 and you'll be off to the races!
