White Ribbon Campaign 2005
The White Ribbon Campaign (WRC) is a week-long campaign, encouraging men's voice against sexual violence against women. It involves the distribution of white ribbons, the collection of signatures, and fundraising for campus sexual assault prevention programs. By establishing a week for men to speak out against the issues of rape, domestic violence, and sexual abuse, we believe that the WRC can have a positive effect on the attitudes and behaviors of men on our campus. We, the White Ribbon Campaign, are proud to conduct our share of this international campaign on the campus of the University or North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Meetings and recruiting sessions have not yet been scheduled for this year's campaign, but we hope that you, if you are a male, you will be able to attend them. The times and places for these meetings will be available on the activities page. We need all the support we can get and it is up to you to take your share of the responsibility in preventing violence against women. If you feel very strongly about this issue but cannot participate directly in the campaign, you can sign the pledge online.
