Council on Islamic Education

The Council on Islamic Education (CIE) is a national,
non-profit resource organization comprised of a diverse body of scholars of history, religion, education and related disciplines. The mission of CIE
is to contribute to the improvement of the American K-12 education system, by participating in the cultivation of knowledge, critical thinking,
and global awareness among our nation’s young citizens. CIE provides a number of services,
resources and research-based tools based on standards of historical and social science scholarship.

Islam Project

The
Islam Project was created around two PBS films: "Muhammad: Legacy of a
Prophet" and
"Muslims."
They will air on UNC-TV Dec. 18 and 19, 2003, at 9:00 p.m. The website
includes an educational outreach link, where you can learn more about related toolkits and
resources for teachers and students, working journalists and journalism students, and workplace diversity programs.
