The Council on Islamic Education

The Council on Islamic Education (CIE) is a national, non-profit resource organization comprised of a diverse body of scholars of history, religion, education and related disciplines. The mission of CIE is to contribute to the improvement of the American K-12 education system, by participating in the cultivation of knowledge, critical thinking, and global awareness among our nation’s young citizens.  CIE provides a number of services, resources and research-based tools based on standards of historical and social science scholarship. 

The Islam Project

The Islam Project was created around two PBS films: "Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet" and
  "Muslims."
  They will air on UNC-TV Dec. 18 and 19, 2003, at 9:00 p.m.  The website includes an educational outreach link, where you can learn more about related toolkits and resources for teachers and students, working journalists and journalism students, and workplace diversity programs.

Islam and Christianity: Similarities and Differences
