La Catedral de Toledo
Although I couldn't take photos inside the cathedral, it was incredible to see the ways in which 14th century Catholic leaders used architectural and aesthetic elements to firstly convert to and secondly keep within the church Toledo's Jewish and Muslim residents. Though the banking industry was run by the Jews, and the Moors ran the country for the 800 years preceeding 1492, both groups were held to the norms of the established religious orthodoxy despite their financial and political power.
