Williams, John and Alison Stones. The Codex Calixtinus and the Shrine of St. James. Tubingen: Narr, 1992. [Sloane – BT685.5.C63 1992] This book brings together specialists from many different fields to address the issues raised by the cult of St. James, the cathedral that houses his shrine, and the five books of the Codex Calixtinus. There are ten essays and then five commentators attributing to the content of this book. Some of the subjects addressed in the essays are the miracles of St. James, the decoration and illumination of the Codex Calixtinus, and archeology related to the St. James’s tomb. |
