Once again, I am on top of it. Hasn't even been a week. I better hurry up or else I am liable to forget all the wonderful things that happened at this year's annual New Orleans fest. Since this page is PG-13, I can't go into too much detail, but we'll see what we can come up with.

I got in on Friday. No one met me at the airport, thank god, or else I could have ridden back for free on the van. Instead I got to sulk in a cab and spend 25 bucks. Which I did nicely. Of course everyone was in the afternoon nap mood when I got to the hotel. Well, I did my best to change all that mainly by pulling covers off of beds, turning on lights, and making noise. They might have thought they wanted to sleep but luckily I showed them the light. Jeremy and Andy paid the ultimate price for their blanket.

So we all straggled up to Bourbon St about 8 or 9. Friday and Saturday nights were both way packed. Which is cool for about 10 minutes. But hey, it's N'Awlins, so we dealt. I don't really know how, but the Tropical Isle became our hangout of choice. Several nameless members of our team hanging out on the balcony made themselves quite a lot of friends on the street below. (?) I saw Angel that night, I was damn proud of him. And I heard some band play 'Life Goes on.' Can't beat it.

So, yes we actually did play water polo on Saturday. And for the first time in my memory, UNC went 0-3 in pool play. I mean, I guess it was to be expected, we had kind of an inexperienced team, and the teams in our bracket played well - but it was still depressing. Ok, enough about polo. Back to Bourbon St. Saturday was cool - stayed out late, raised a minor amount of hell. That night, I heard 'I will Survive!'. Kick ass.

Sunday we beat Tennessee. They were the kings of Bourbon St winners. And then Sunday night was more o' the same. Fun, but I was definitely ready to go home. Heckuva weekend.
