Well, thank the lord, the weekend of May 29-30 is over. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, and the comments have been almost universally positive, but it was tiring and stresful. First I have to hand out thanks. Thanks so much to the refs, Terence, Kai, Larry, Mark, Loren, and Paul. They flew in from all over the country and did a wonderful job. Second, I have to thank the people on the UNC team that stayed and helped out and helped me make this thing go. Also thanks to our primary sponsors - Body Billboards, Gotham, and Brueggar's. Lastly, but far from least, thanks to Ned Collett and the Smith Center administration for allowing us to use the nicest facility I have ever been in, Koury Natatorium. Oh yeah, and thanks to me for being the Tournament Director and doing such a bang-up job of getting everyone here, scheduling, getting the refs, and handling all the problems that came up. Well, Kristin helped some. No thanks to the dang scoreboard, oh well. Anyway, on the the tournament. It was cool - there was a lot of good polo, we played like crap but that's ok. I had fun at the Gotham Jam saturday night, and I hope everyone else did too. I know a lot of the UNC women had fun cuz I have eyes. GW beat NOVA in the men's finals, Florida beat NOVA in the women's finals. The MVPs were Stephanie from Florida for the women, and Peter Bishop from the GW men. Thanks to all the teams for coming, I hope everyone got their fill of polo for the weekend. This summary was brought to you by the number 7.
