Graduation Countdown thoughts for the last 20 days
April 18, 2004
Okay, so at some point I realized that I have to stop updating this site at the end of the year because the teacher has to grade it. Oh wait, I have to stop updating it today, because it's due, um, tomorrow. Later I can return to posting random thoughts. It was fun recording this year though, and I'm glad I got to do this assignment because my original site had only recorded the summer leading to senior year.
That was a really boring but necessary introduction. A few nights ago I dreamed that I got a small dog named Cha-Cha. Now that's exciting.
I've been wondering why I haven't been getting all emotional about the last day of school. Maybe I'm just not going to miss it. I don't mean it in a negative way, but I have so many memories here that will repeat in my mind over and over and will keep me entertained so that I will not miss the school. I feel like I've worked really hard here and used all the resources one person could in the given amount of time and for the goals I've been pursuing. That is a great feeling, and I'm thankful I've been able to attend this school, and the journalism school.
I've always remembered amusing and odd tid bit things that may
seem insignificant on the surface to others, and I'm sure the same will go for
this school. When I share the memories with others I get the usual "you
are weird" look. I think this will pay off in journalism though. The unusual,
the seemingly insignificant, makes news, the school says. It is also
food for my brain. What I'm really looking forward to is continued application.
I'm sure for the next month or so I will have dreams about school and wake up
thinking I'm supposed to be in class. I mean, I've been in school for most of
my life, we're not just talking college here. What in the world is a grown up?
I'll think on that later. I have a 10-page paper to work on.
I don't think I would name my dog Cha-Cha. A goldfish...maybe.
I hope you've enjoyed reading some of my thoughts on college, life, and everything in between.
Have a great day, everyday.
