My senior fair story continues. Yesterday I told you about the unplanned fun I had during senior week. My tip was to go sumo wrestling and do other fun, strange activities. My next tip: don't get carried away.

I had barbecue, coleslaw, cookies, lemonade, beans....free! It was sooo good. At least the few nibbles of it I had were good. I wouldn't know how the whole meal tasted because I lost my keys. That is a horrible feeling. It's not like losing a book you spent $14.95 on, or like losing the remote. You are losing a set of objects that open up your private life. The only thing I could do was be calm about it.

There went my barbecue. The food turned cold as I worried about my keys, and I lost my appetite. I'm still thinking about how good that food would've been in my belly. I wandered around the fair grounds asking supervisors if they had seen my keys. They were nice enough to let me back into the fair (I didn't know I lost them until I was locked out of my dorm), but one supervisor wouldn't let me into the bell tower to retrace my steps. I didn't even want to go into the bell tower, so I don't know why he was telling me this. If I honestly thought my keys were up there, do you think I'd be asking permission to walk up there? I think not. I'll just go in, thanks. Everyone for the most part though was extremely kind and sympathetic.

My next tip: be calm in college. Panicking only delays your assignment. It's subconscious procrastinating. I stayed calm, and was convinced the keys were in the sumo wrestling area. After I bothered the sumo wrestle supervisors several times (they were nice each time by the way), they eventually found the keys. If I hadn't have kept pressing them about it like the journalist I am, I'd still be sitting on the stoop.

Phew, glad that's done. I still made it to the gym in time for spinning class. In the end it was a great day.
