Graduation Countdown since last update: 27days

April 12, 2004

Well, in the words of my parents, "ten days, only ten days left." So true. So true. There are only 10 days until the last day of school, and I will be graduating 10 days after the last day of school.

The break was nice. I had a good Easter too. I've got allergies already. It's raining though, so I'm starting to feel much better.

If I haven't mentioned this already, my next tip to future seniors is to start packing early. Now that I think of it, I suggest this for everybody regardless of what year they are in college. Once Spring Break rolls around in March (at the very latest) you should start moving some of your junk home a little bit at a time when you visit home. I'm sure your parents will be excited about this (I was told in journalism that sarcasm on the computer doesn't work, so maybe I better stop that). Anyway, moving out can be very stressful, but this year, nuh uh buddy.

For some of you, especially if you live out of state, perhaps you should consider storage in the state you attend college. It depends on the person of course. I DO NOT suggest using the companies who pick up your boxes, store them in the unknown, and bring them to your dorm when you come back. Sounds nice, but I did not have a pleasant experience. My boxes came back with holes in them...that's just for starters.

Did I mention I'm in a drama class? I think I did. We are working up to our final which is acting out a scene. We're almost through with round one. My partner and I did our scene and it worked out really well. Someone from class said it sounded like we were actually "talking" to each other (versus regurgitating the lines). I think that is quite a compliment.

Alice Walker is coming to UNC this week. I'm looking forward to it.
