Graduation Countdown since last update: 34 days
April 5, 2004
Um, excuse me? Where is the time going? Well, it can keep on keepin' on as far as I'm concerned...at least for 34 more days. This weekend sure was crazy! I had to go to Walmart to get a new pillow because my head and neck were killing me. I mean I was barely functioning on Saturday. I didn't even know where Walmart was! That is so sad. Mapquest to the rescue. If there is one thing I want all of you to know during your first year at Carolina, or any school really, it is where Walmart is. If there is another thing I want you to know, realize that many things are not going to go as planned. You might wake up with, well, a serious neck ache on the day you planned other activities. Instead, you are at home, in and out of dreamland from the pain and doing large amounts of homework when you are conscious again.
The bus system and sidewalks here are impressive, so maybe that's why I never knew where Walmart was. I was didn't drive my vehicle around or catch a ride with someone outside of Chapel Hill (oh wait, I didn't have my vehicle until this year). I was always in town and extremely busy. Otherwise, I was sleeping and occasionally falling off the top bunk. Now I have my vehicle for reporting class and it's a whole new world, but I'm about to leave. Oh well, I don't have any regrets. I came here for Chapel Hill and that's what I got. Time for a new world in another town after graduation.
I've been doing a lot of packing already. I'm sure my parents are excited to have all my junk stuffed in a corner of their house. Moving at the end of the year will be a lot less stressful though.
I've been eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches lately. What's up with that? Isn't that what toddlers eat or something?
These last few weeks of college are like having one foot in Chapel Hill and the other foot in another town, city, state or even country (depending on your next planned destination). I was on the bus today listening to some loud mouth talk about Senioritis and she was wondering what's the point of going to class. I don't want any of you to catch Senioritis you hear? It's not like being a senior in high school (though in my opinion Senioritis in high school is bad too). It's good to have fun and hang out with the buddies, but if the professors aren't done grading you, then you are not done going to class. Well, that's all I have to say about that.
It's been a long time since I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut.
