Here's a few of my favorite web sites...

The Washington Post is my hometown paper, and while away at school it's nice to be able to connect a little bit and get an idea what's going on in the real world. The web page is set up really well with a sidebar full of links to every section of the Post as well as links to the archives, which go back about 20 years, and to a search area for the site in general. The archives is awesome when you're doing research; it's a lot easier than scanning microfilm for hours!

Goheels.com is a great site for any Carolina fan. It offers articles on UNC teams, which are updated daily, schedules and results from all of our sports teams and comments from students. The site also includes links to the ACC Home Page and shopping pages for all your favorite Carolina wear. If you want to show your true blue (Carolina blue, that is) go to Goheels.com, "the never has been, never will be, the official site of UNC."

Weather.com is no fairweather friend to this college kid; this site has saved my life, not to mention my clothes! It has great forcasts updated throughout the day, all you have to do is enter your city and state and there it is. This site has been really helpful to me when planning trips because if you know what the weather's going to be like, you know what to pack, it's as easy as that! Also included are links to activities, a news center and interact with weather.com.

Google is my absolute favorite way to search the web when I know what I'm looking for. It's a pretty forward setup with a box to enter keywords and then it takes you to a listing of related sites. There is also a link to a page with a hierarchical setup to search by categories. Their slogan is "Answers right away," and that's what you get!

Have you ever gotten an e-card that just made your day? Well I have and I love the concept, because you can send them via email and they have the same effect as regular cards! No more last minute trips to the store for that forgotten birthday or anniversary, and you can send them whenever you feel like just to put a smile on someone's face. Bluemountain offers a wide variety of cards for any occasion, go check it out!
