A little bit about me...

My name is Ashley Knight and I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and am focusing on Advertising as my major. I am thinking about double majoring in Political Science also.
Ashley's hometown... I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. My entire family continues to call Durham home. My dad recently retired as a Captain from the Durham Police Department. My mom is a kindergarten teacher at the school that I attended when I was a kid. I also have two older brothers, one of which lives in Chapel Hill and one who lives in Charlotte. After I graduate from college, I hope to branch out of the good ole' town that I have lived in my whole life! To the left is a picture of some friends from back home.
Ashley's friends.. If there is nothing more that I love to do, its spending time with my friends, family and boyfriend, who is one on my best friends. I have fun whether I'm just hanging out or going out! I am pretty easy to get along with and most anyone can tell you that I love being around people!
Ashley's accomplishments... Ever since I was a little girl, I have always lived by my parents advice which was to "alway's try my best" at whatever I do. I graduated from high school with a 4.2 GPA and was involved in numerous activities. Much is the same here at Carolina, with the exception of the GPA of course, which has managed to be a little lower! I am a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, where I have met lots of great girls and have gotten to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House. I am also a member of the Carolina Blues, which is a group of girls that work with the football program, giving tours to recruits and doing office work. I am also active with Dance Marathon, and have volunteered the past two years to raise money for the kids at UNC Hospitals. Ashley's ambitions... I am currently loving life here in Chapel Hill, and plan to one day pursue a career in Sports Maketing and Advertising. I hope to work for a pro-team, preferably the Atlanta Braves, where my man Chipper Jones plays third base!
