Anna
M. Van Scoyoc-Cleveland
Check out that name....It's
rather long, isn't it? That's why I really just go by "Anna
Cleveland". It makes my life a great deal easier....
Currently I work
at UNC at Chapel Hill in the House
Undergraduate Library and Davis
Library. I recently began my course work toward a M.S. in the
Library
Science Program at UNC-CH.
My Hobbies:
-
Swimming -- I swam competitively
from the age of 6 to 18. I now have to go to therapy because of my
life long ambition to beat Lia Menken. It's crazy, because I still
see Lia around my hometown, Bloomington,
IL.
-
Running -- I ran the
New
York Marathon in November of 1999. My good friend, Celia Sepulveda,
ran it with me. Our other friend, Michele Mericle, was supposed to run
it; however, she hurt her ankle. Hopefully, she and I will be able to run
another one in the spring. I am definitely addicted to running the great
distances!
-
Kickboxing -- LOVE LOVE
LOVE! Best exercise for physical and mental health in the entire
universe!
-
Reading classic literature
-- My all time favorite is Great Expectations. Other books
I have thoroughly enjoyed over an over include Ethan Frome, The
Scarlet Letter, and Catcher in the Rye.
-
Making Web Pages in
order to pay tribute to those deserving people -- I currently am in the
process of making a page for Daniel A. Krauss, JD, PhD. He will be
moving from Tucson, AZ to live with my
husband and me this coming fall while he does his year long internship
at UNC. Also, I'd like to make pages for various friends (e.g., Celia
Sepulveda, Jeffrey B. Stuewig, Jennifer Hartweg-Dewar, Danielle Vincent-Flynn,
and Kristina Himebaugh) and my family just because I think they are great.
