Eurasianet - While this is not an art resource it is a valuable site that details many pertinent aspects of the country, like the population and GDP. Make sure to look at this site's resources section. The site also supplies all of the recent news that is occurring in this and other related areas. There is an "Art and Culture" section which includes hyperlinks to pertinent sites.

Kazakhstan on the Net - This is a site that contains lists of links to useful websites about contemporary art in Kazakhstan. Many are in English but some are written in Cyrillic.

Virtual Gallery - This site has a long list of artists with examples of their artworks and photographs of the artists. Within the individual artist's sections there are artist's statements about the concepts behind their work. These artist's statements are extremely valuable in interpreting their works.
